At Give Me The Cash, we pride ourselves on offering a simple, secure, and stress-free way to sell your valuables. From the moment your parcel leaves your home until it arrives at our secure UK facility, your items are protected for your peace of mind.

Whether you drop your parcel off at a Post Office or arrange a home collection through one of our approved courier partners, your items are automatically insured for up to £300, subject to proof of contents.

If you believe your items require additional cover, please contact our friendly customer support team before sending your parcel so we can review your insurance needs.

1. This policy

1.1 This Insurance Policy forms part of your agreement with Give Me The Cash. Any terms defined in the main Agreement shall have the same meaning in this policy.

2. Increasing your insurance cover

2.1 Each parcel sent to Give Me The Cash and tracked by our courier is automatically insured up to a maximum value of £300, provided appropriate proof of contents is available.

2.2 If you believe the total value of the items you wish to send exceeds £300, please email clear photographs of all items to support@givemethecash.co.uk
and request an insurance increase. Where our specialists agree that your items exceed the standard cover, insurance may be increased in line with the following tiers:

  • Tier 1: Up to £300
  • Tier 2: £300.01 – £1,000
  • Tier 3: £1,000.01 – £10,000

2.3 To support your request, we may ask for detailed descriptions, photographs, and any available supporting documentation such as receipts, valuation paperwork, or certificates of authenticity.

2.4 We will assess all information provided and confirm in writing if your parcel qualifies for a higher insurance tier.

2.5 Confirmation of an insurance tier does not guarantee that any offer made following appraisal will be equal to or higher than the insured value. All offers are subject to appraisal.

2.6 We aim to respond to insurance requests within one working day. Insurance cover is only increased once confirmed in writing by Give Me The Cash.

2.7 If increased insurance is not approved, you may still choose to send your parcel, but you do so entirely at your own risk.

3. Sending your parcel

3.1 If your parcel qualifies for Tier 2 or Tier 3 insurance, you must not send it unless you receive written confirmation from us. In such cases, we may:

  • arrange a specialist courier collection; or
  • organise an on-site appraisal for high-value items.

3.2 All items must be securely packaged. Damage caused by poor or insufficient packaging will invalidate insurance cover. Couriers are not responsible for assisting with packaging.

3.3 If your parcel contains any prohibited or restricted items, insurance for the entire parcel will be invalidated.

3.4 You must obtain proof of postage or collection that includes a tracking number. Claims cannot be processed without this information.

3.5 Your name and full return address must be clearly displayed on the parcel.

4. Making a claim

4.1 Before submitting a claim, please gather as much evidence as possible to support your case. Claims may be rejected where insufficient evidence is provided.

4.2 Claims must be submitted within the following timeframes:

  • Lost parcel: within 28 days of sending
  • Damaged or missing items: within 28 days of dispatch or return

4.3 To submit a claim, please call 0800 246 1111 or complete a claim form and email it to our support team. Accurate contact details must be provided.

4.4 We aim to acknowledge claims within one working day and will contact you by telephone where necessary.

4.5 All claims are investigated thoroughly and may include reviewing CCTV footage, speaking with staff, and searching our premises.

4.6 Target investigation times are:

  • Lost parcels: up to 10 working days
  • Damaged or missing items: up to 3 working days

4.7 You will be notified in writing of the outcome of your claim.

4.8 If a claim is successful, the settlement value will be determined based on the confirmed insurance tier and the evidence provided.

4.9 Settlements will be paid by bank transfer or cheque, at your discretion. You are responsible for providing accurate payment details.

4.10 If requested payment details are not provided within 14 days, the right to claim a settlement may be considered waived.

4.11 If a parcel is later found after a settlement has been paid, repayment or adjustment of the settlement may be required.

4.12 Any overdue repayments may incur interest in line with applicable UK base rates.

4.13 If you disagree with a claim decision, please follow the complaints procedure outlined in our main Agreement.
